(BSc (Hons), MSc, MITMA), Senior Partner and Registered UK and European Trade Mark Attorney, is a committee member of the International Trade Mark Association where he contributes articles on trade mark development in Europe. Jon has also served on the Council of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys for several years.

During his 10 year spell as in-house trade mark counsel at the Richemont luxury goods group, Jon dealt with the transfer of trade mark portfolios to tax efficient structures and the subsequent licensing and maintenance of those rights.  This included the appointment of management roles to oversee the use and development of the brands on behalf of the trade mark owner.  The Richemont group also owns wine and spirit brands and licensed the use of the COLT trade mark to Scottish and Newcastle Brewery in the UK.  Jon also headed a team responsible for the worldwide demerger of the DUNHILL brand between luxury goods and tobacco products.

Jon has worked as a senior trade mark attorney for the largest international law firm offering trade mark services to some of the leading brand-owning companies in the world.  Jon is also an examiner and a lecturer in trade marks.  He is able to offer commercially orientated advice and practical solutions to trade mark problems in Europe and beyond.

(BA (Hons), FITMA), Partner, Senior Registered UK and European Trade Mark Attorney, was a Partner for 12 years at a London trade mark and patent practice and has been qualified for 21 years.  Much of Anne’s workload focuses on handling trade mark conflicts for an international outdoor sports company and representing clients at inter partes hearings.  She advises also on domain name conflicts.

Anne was a member of the Council of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys for over 10 years.  She served on several Committees and chaired the Education & Training Committee, the Formalities/Trade Mark Administrators Committee and the Joint Examination Board.  She has been an examiner, lecturer and tutor in trade marks.

Anne qualified as a trade mark attorney winning the Elizabeth Bennett Memorial Award for best joint performance in the 1989 UK Trade Mark Law and Practice Final Examinations.  Anne is the contributor for the UK chapter of the well-respected text book “Trade Marks Throughout the World”.

(BA (Hons), PgDip (Law), PgDip (Legal Practice)), is a near-qualified Trade Mark Attorney and serves as a student representative on ITMA’s Education & Training Committee.  Sharon handles all aspects of UK, European Community and International trade mark law and practice.  Her work ranges from trade mark clearance and prosecution work through to contentious trade mark proceedings.

Sharon’s previous trade mark experience includes managing a key account and a team responsible for the worldwide renewal programme for British American Tobacco.

Sharon has also managed the international trade mark portfolio for a leading global media company and she also looks after the growing portfolio of a brand valuation consultancy.
